Bike Snob Austin

Recently http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/ has become very popular. Being that I like everyone else want my blog to not only be LEGENDARY, but financially viable, I figured I like many others in this world could just steal the idea from from bikesnobnyc, and do the same thing in Austin.

Dora the Explorer Explore with Me Trike - Power Wheels - Fisher-Price - $30

Date: 2009-01-03, 11:18PM CST

Purchased for 50.00 at Toys R Us and my daughter hasn't used it very much...

This toddler-friendly trike with electronic lights and sounds is perfect for little explorers

Lights, sound, music, and Dora's voice in English and Spanish

Foot-powered with slip-resistant pedals

Easy-grip handlebars and three-position adjustable seat

Measures approx. 30" L x 23" W x 20 1/2" H and weighs approx. 10 lbs

Well I'm glad to see that even here in Austin some will over charge for a fixed gear bike. I will give this person credit, I have never seen the pedals hooked up directly to the front wheel, but I think they may have something to it.
Does this person really expect us to 30 dollars for a bike that doesn't have any upgrades? Where are the NJS parts and the matching handle bar tape?

Penny Farthing/ High Wheel/ Ordinary/ the original Fixie - $600

UPDATE... JUST CHANGED THE PRICE, AND THE PICTURES.

Up for sale..

48" Standard Hi Wheel "BoneShaker"

The true fixed gear track bike.

Super fun to ride and people always wave and smile when I go by.
Not real fast but could keep up with Critical mass and other group rides in Austin.
RECOMENDED RIDER SIZE.. requires an inseam between 29" and less than 35"

This bike was made by Ride Replicas in Cleveland, Ohio before 1973, probably in the late 60's. You could buy a brand new one from them, but it would cost you about $900 -plus $300+/- in shipping.

I'm just suggesting $600, willing to negotiate if you really want it.
more info at hiwheel(dot)com....they also h ave parts and accessories!
tags- cruiser, p-far, unique, one of a kind, gift, Christmas, big, wheel, kid, little wheel, toy, antique, messenger, bmx, road, mountain, tall, red,

I guess these front wheel driven bikes are becoming popular. I'm wondering though how this person can charge 600 dollars for a antique knock off. You can get the same thing for $30 with matching purple tires (see above).

I think they best part of this bike is that it will keep up with Critical Mass. Now some may use a bike to get from place to place, others to race, but the critical mass bike is also a necessity.
I bet this bike would also make a great goalie during bike polo.
